Thugs descend on SDP candidate shortly after Supreme court upheld Gov Ododo's elections


 

Suspected political thugs this evening assaulted the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi state, Murtala Ajaka at the Supreme Court moments after the apex court upheld the election of APC's Usman Ododo as the Governor of the State. 

 

Ajaka had filed a suit in the apex court challenging the emergence of Ododo as the winner of the March 2023 governorship election in the state.

 

Shortly after the court ruled in favour of Governor Ododo, some thugs descended on Akaja in the premises of the apex court, throwing bottles and other dangerous items at him.
